UBS Arena opened in 2021 at Belmont Park, ending the Islanders' long tour of Nassau Coliseum and Brooklyn, and it was designed for hockey first: a bowl with the tightest sightlines in the league's new generation of buildings and a barn-shaped roof that keeps the noise on the ice. It hosts the NHL All-Star Weekend on 5–6 February 2027.

Purpose-built for a rink, and it shows. The 100 level wraps close to the boards with no compromise geometry from a basketball tenant, so the corners of the lower bowl are unusually good — they see both goals from close to the height of a boards seat. The club and loge rings above are flat and comfortable. The 300 level is high but the bowl is small, so from centre ice up there you get the full sheet without feeling remote. The end behind which the Islanders attack twice is the loud end, and the rows above the glass there see more of the play than the glass rows themselves.
