Canada Life Centre opened in 2004 as the MTS Centre, became Bell MTS Place, and took its current name in 2021 — the building that brought NHL hockey back to Winnipeg when the Jets returned in 2011. It is the smallest arena in the league at around 15,300 for hockey, deliberately: it was built to be full every night in a market that had lost a team once and did not intend to lose another. It is also the loudest room per seat in the NHL, and the whiteout is not a marketing exercise. The Jets host the Heritage Classic outdoors at Princess Auto Stadium on 25 October 2026.

Published figures range from 15,225 to 15,321 seats.

Small, steep, and close — the three things that make a hockey building good. The 100 level along the boards puts you near enough to hear the bench; the 100 corners see both goals and are the best-value seat in the arena. The 200 club ring is shallow and flat. The 300 level starts low and rises hard, so from centre ice up there you get the height a full sheet needs without the distance a 19,000-seat bowl charges for it — in this building the upper deck is closer to the ice than the lower deck of some larger arenas. There is effectively no seat here from which you cannot follow the play.
