The Wild's home in downtown Saint Paul opened in 2000 as the Xcel Energy Center — the name it carried for twenty-five years and the one most people still search for — and became Grand Casino Arena in 2025. This is what a rink-first arena looks like. Every one of the four tiers is pulled in tight over the ice, so the drop-off in quality from level to level is the smallest in the NHL — the upper deck here is closer to the boards than the upper deck of several arenas half its capacity. The 100 level along the boards is the reference view, the 100 corners see both goals for less, and the club levels flatten the angle. The 200s are genuinely good value, and the top rows at centre ice still read every zone entry. There is very little bad seat in this building, which is the whole point of it.
