The United Center opened in 1994 to replace Chicago Stadium and is the largest arena in the NBA by capacity: close to 21,000 for basketball, under a barrel-vaulted roof, with the Michael Jordan statue at the east entrance and six championship banners overhead. Bulls and Blackhawks share it, and a decade of renovations added the atrium, new clubs and a rebuilt scoreboard.
Its size is the thing to plan around. The 100 level is a wide, generous lower bowl and its sideline rows are the reference view; the 200 club level is the flattest and most comfortable angle in the building. The 300 level is genuinely high — this is a big room — but the rake is steep and the front rows of the upper sidelines still read the game well. Corners at every level are the value play, and the last rows of the 300s are as far from the floor as the NBA gets.
