Spectrum Center opened in 2005 as Charlotte Bobcats Arena, spent seven years as Time Warner Cable Arena and took its current name in 2016. It sits in Uptown on the light-rail line, and a publicly funded renovation programme agreed in 2023 has been rebuilding the concourses, clubs and technology in stages while the team keeps playing.

A conventional, symmetrical bowl, which makes it one of the easier arenas to buy for: the level decides the view and the section decides the angle. The lower bowl sidelines give the reference view and get close to the floor; the club level flattens it; the upper bowl is steep with a clean line to both baskets from the corners. The lowest baseline rows put you under the rim, which is a great experience and a poor way to follow a game.
