Ball Arena opened in 1999 as the Pepsi Center and took its current name in 2020. It sits on a bluff between downtown Denver and the South Platte, a mile above sea level — the altitude is a real factor in how games are played here — and is shared with the Avalanche, which makes it one of the busiest buildings in the league.
A conventional three-tier bowl, generously sized, with a lower level that stays close to the floor along the sidelines. The club level between the two rings is the flattest and most comfortable angle; the upper level is high and steep, but the corners there see both baskets cleanly and are the cheapest good seat in the building. Behind the baskets the lower rows are close to the rim and lose the far half of the court, which is the usual trade.
