Opened in 1994 as Gund Arena, known for a decade as Quicken Loans Arena — The Q — then Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and Rocket Arena since 2025. It anchors the Gateway District next to Progressive Field, and a $185 million transformation completed in 2019 rebuilt the concourses, doubled the public space and glazed the whole north face.

The 2019 rebuild changed the experience around the bowl more than the bowl itself, which remains a compact and steep three-tier arena. The lower level along the sidelines is the reference view and gets close to the floor; the club level flattens the angle; the upper bowl is high but the building is not wide, so upper corners still see both baskets cleanly. Behind the baskets the lowest rows are the closest cheap seats in the building at the cost of a foreshortened far half.
