Bryant-Denny Stadium opened in 1929 as Denny Stadium and took the second half of its name in 1975. Upper decks were added to the north in 2006 and the south in 2010, which is what took it past a hundred thousand, and a 2020 renovation rebuilt the north end concourse and the premium areas. The result is a big, symmetrical, modern bowl with a very tall stack on both ends.

The Walk of Champions brings the team through the crowd on the north side a couple of hours before kick-off and the plaza there is full long before the gates open. September games in Alabama are hot enough that the shaded side of the stadium is a real consideration, and the crowd is large enough that leaving is slower than arriving.

Lower bowl all the way round, upper decks on both sidelines and both ends, with club and suite levels in between on the west. The lower sideline is the classic view; the club levels are the flattest and most comfortable. The upper decks on the ends are tall and their back rows are the furthest seats from the field in the building. Upper sideline front rows are the best compromise, and the corners are cheaper for a view that is barely worse.
