Kyle Field was rebuilt between 2013 and 2015 in two off-seasons — the west side demolished and replaced, the east side rebuilt around the existing structure — and came out as the biggest stadium in the SEC. It is a tall, enclosed, three-tier building rather than a bowl dug into the ground, and it was designed specifically to keep noise inside.

The student body stands for the entire game. That is not a figure of speech: the tradition of the 12th Man means the student sections do not sit down, and the sound in the closed bowl is the loudest sustained noise in the sport. Midnight Yell happens the night before in the same stadium. If you are buying a seat in or next to the student sections, buy it knowing that you will be standing too.

Three decks on both sidelines, with club and suite levels between them, and closed corners that carry the sound. The 100 level sidelines are close and the rows are long. The 200 club level is the flattest and most comfortable angle. The 300 level is high and steep — the front rows there are excellent and the back rows are a serious climb. End zone seats are the cheap way in and the view down the field is clean because nothing overhangs it.
