Lincoln Financial Field opened in 2003 to replace Veterans Stadium, and Temple is its tenant rather than its owner: this is an NFL building that a college programme borrows on Saturdays. The design leaves three corners open onto the Philadelphia skyline and hangs a wing-shaped canopy over each sideline, and there are eleven thousand solar panels and fourteen wind turbines on the site, which cover roughly a third of the electricity it uses.
The building spent the summer of 2026 under a different name, operating as Philadelphia Stadium for the World Cup with the Lincoln Financial signage covered, and the pitch was relaid with hybrid grass in May. By the autumn it is back to being itself. The thing to understand before you buy is scale: nearly seventy thousand seats and a college crowd that does not fill them, so the noise lives in the lower bowl and the upper deck reads as a lot of empty plastic. The student section, the Cherry Crusade, was relaunched in 2025.
Two main rings on the east and west sidelines with a suite level between them, canopies over both, and the Eagle's Nest balcony beyond the north end. Because the canopies cover the back of each sideline, the difference between a covered and an uncovered seat in the same price band is real and is the single most useful thing to check in 3D. The lower sideline is where a Temple crowd actually sits and where the atmosphere is; the club level is the flattest and most comfortable angle; the end zones are the cheap way in and the sight line down the field is clean because nothing overhangs it. The open corners let the wind through in November.
