Opened in 1921 as the Ritz, built fast and cheaply as a small house for plays, and it spent the 1970s as a television studio and then went dark for a decade. Jujamcyn restored it and renamed it in 1990 for the critic Walter Kerr; ATG Entertainment runs it now.
