The auditorium here opened in 2009 and is mostly underground, built beneath the Bank of America Tower behind the retained 1918 neo-Georgian facade of Henry Miller's Theatre — you enter through a hundred-year-old front into a room that is younger than most of its audience. It was the first LEED-certified Broadway theatre and was renamed for Stephen Sondheim on his eightieth birthday in 2010. Roundabout Theatre Company owns and runs it.
