Arsenal left Highbury in 2006 for a 60,704-seat bowl three hundred metres down the road, and brought two names with them: the North Bank and the Clock End. The Emirates is the most symmetrical of the big London grounds — a continuous four-sided bowl with no odd stand and no awkward corner — which makes it one of the easier stadiums to choose a seat in, provided you understand what the tiers actually are.
The bowl is stacked rather than divided by side. The lower tier gets you closest but the front rows behind the goals see a very foreshortened pitch; the middle band is Club Level, padded, with its own concourse and the highest prices in the ground; the upper tier is a long way back but steep enough that the whole pitch stays readable, which is why it is the tactician's choice. Safe standing arrives for 2026-27 without changing the overall capacity. The North Bank lower tier is where the noise starts.
