The name is real and it is worth explaining, because it looks like a joke and is not. On 6 August 2024 Florida International and Armando Christian Perez signed what the university calls the first naming agreement in sport given to a recording artist: five years with a five-year option and six million dollars, plus a fight song and his own vodka behind the bars, in exchange for the name, two suites, ten days a year of the venue and the right to choose the interval act. The building itself opened on 24 September 1995 as FIU Community Stadium with seven and a half thousand seats, and has since been Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium, Riccardo Silva Stadium and FIU Stadium again.

The Panther Walk comes along the promenade about two and a quarter hours before kick-off with Roary and the marching band. Calle Ocho Corner, opened in 2025 under one of the sidelines, has domino tables, photo stations, tequenos and a hot dog named after the man on the roof. Four of the 2026 home games kick off in the evening because of the heat, and lightning delays are a real and documented feature here — the 2025 Shula Bowl started two and a half hours late. If play is suspended you are asked to leave the seating bowl for the concourse or your car.

An open bowl with the main stands on two opposite sides and the ends at the other two, on two concourse levels served by five lifts. Three of the four sides of the original 1995 ground were demolished in 2007-08 and rebuilt for fifty-four million dollars; a second phase took the ground to twenty thousand by 2012. A master plan for forty-five thousand was drawn up and never built. Premium runs to nineteen suites and the six-and-a-half-thousand-square-foot field-level Panther Club, joined for 2026 by a new midfield club with backed seats, parking and food included. General admission sits in one end. The students come in through their own gates into a corner. Nothing is covered except the suites and clubs.
