Atlético moved to the Metropolitano in 2017, rebuilding a 1994 athletics stadium into a fully enclosed 70,692-seat bowl with an undulating fabric roof that covers every seat. It hosted the 2019 Champions League final and will host the 2027 final, and it holds the world attendance record for a women's club match: 60,739 for Atlético against Barcelona in March 2019.

The bowl is continuous and steep, which means there are very few genuinely bad seats — the difference is angle and height rather than obstruction. The Fondo Sur lower tier is home to the loudest support. Lateral Este and Oeste at mid height give the flattest view; the upper ring is high but the rake is severe enough that the whole pitch stays readable. The roof covers all seats, so weather is not a factor in the choice, which puts the emphasis squarely on sightline.
