This variety presented a challenge: how to give potential ticket buyers a clear understanding of where they would be seated in each setup?
3D Digital Venue was tasked with creating a solution that would provide transparency and flexibility, ensuring customers could make informed choices regardless of the event’s seating arrangement.
A Multi-Configuration 3D Map for Ultimate Flexibility
To meet this challenge, 3D Digital Venue developed a 3D seating map that included five (5) different configurations of the Chamäleon Theater. Each configuration accurately reflected the real-world placement of tables, chairs, and stage distances, ensuring that buyers could easily assess their view of the performance.
“It used to be a great challenge for us to communicate these differences to our guests in advance. Guests were surprised and dissatisfied with their seats on the evening of the event; this led to complaints and unnecessary stress when alternatives had to be found at short notice,” said Hendrik Frobel, CEO . Since the introduction of the 3D seating plan in November 2023, this has changed fundamentally, and there are practically no more complaints of this kind. On the contrary, first-time visitors in particular give us very positive feedback, as they can now get a clear picture of the hall in advance”.

On average, we process 80% of our bookings via our webshop and 40% of our guests each year are first-time visitors. Thanks to the 3D floor plan, we can now provide our guests with more information and better support during the booking process. The integration is therefore highly relevant for us. In addition, the 3D floor plan is not only a valuable aid in the webshop, but also at the box office. Our box office staff can give guests a realistic impression of the hall directly on site. A more prominent display in the webshop would perhaps be desirable”.
