Venue guide

Where to sit at Sphere

Sphere is a 366-foot spherical venue on Sands Avenue in Las Vegas, opened in September 2023, and it is the one building where the seat you pick changes what you actually see more than anywhere else. The interior is a single wraparound LED screen of roughly 160,000 square feet running at 16K by 16K, so you are not looking at a stage with a video wall behind it — you are sitting inside the picture. That has consequences the usual price map does not capture: seats can be close and still poor, and cheap seats high in the room can be the best in the house for what the venue does.

The interactive map above is the fastest way to settle it. Click a section and a real panoramic view from that section opens; drag to look around in 360°. Every section of Sphere has a view captured — floor, all four levels, every side — so you can compare the seat you are being sold against the one two levels up before you decide.

Section by section

Floor / GA
Standing, unreserved, and only sold for concerts. Closest to the artist and the loudest place in the room, but you are looking up rather than ahead, so you see the least of the wraparound screen of anywhere in the building. No haptic seat, because there is no seat. See every section of the floor / ga and open the view from each one →
100 level · sections 101–110
The main bowl, and the zone that most rewards checking before you buy. The tiers above overhang the back of it: from roughly row 24 upward the upper edge of the screen starts to disappear behind the balcony, and the further back you sit the more of it goes. Guides disagree on the exact row — some say it begins nearer row 20 — so treat it as a gradient, not a line. The front rows have the opposite problem: you are close to the artist but too low and too near for the screen to resolve. See every section of the 100 level and open the view from each one →
200 level · sections 201–211
The best all-round compromise for a concert, and the centre sections are the pick: high enough to take in the full screen, close enough to still be watching people rather than pixels. The back of this level sits around the mix position, which is where the room is tuned. See every section of the 200 level and open the view from each one →
300 level · sections 301–311
The zone to want if you are here for the screen rather than the band. From the centre of this level the image fills your field of view without you having to turn your head, which is the effect the building was designed around. It is the usual recommendation for the film programme. See every section of the 300 level and open the view from each one →
400 level · sections 403–409
The cheap seats, and genuinely good for the immersive part: you see the apex of the dome properly from up here. The trade is distance from the stage and a steep rake — steeper than most modern arenas — so for a concert take the front rows of this level rather than the back. Suites
Twenty-three suites split between the third and fifth floors.

Frequently asked

What is the best seat at Sphere?
For a concert, a central section of the 200 level: high enough to see the whole wraparound screen, close enough to still see the stage properly. For the immersive films, the centre of the 300 level, which is where the image fills your field of view without you turning your head. Click any section on the map above to judge it yourself rather than taking anyone's word.
Which seats at Sphere have a bad view?
Two kinds. The back of the 100 level, from roughly row 24 upward, where the balcony above cuts off the top of the screen — and it gets worse the further back you go. And the extreme sides and rear corners at any level, where the curve of the screen distorts the image. Sphere itself has said around 800 lower premium seats have an obstructed view of the wraparound screen.
Who is playing at Sphere?
The residencies announced as of the date on this page are listed above with their dates, and the calendar below refreshes itself against your own clock. Sphere runs several residencies in parallel, so there is usually more than one artist in a given month.
Does every section have a 3D view?
Yes. Every section of Sphere is captured — the floor, all four seating levels and every side of the room. Click any section and the view from that seat opens; drag to look around in 360°.
Is this an official Sphere website?
No. This is an independent seat-view guide built with 3D Digital Venue technology. It is not affiliated with Sphere, Sphere Entertainment or any artist, and it does not sell tickets.
